Chairman Message

Board of Management, Gokak Education Society, Gokak

The birth of an educational institution demands the selfless dedication of philanthropic people. It was in 1965 with the inspiration from Wrangler D.C. Pawate, the then Vice- chancellor of Karnataka University, Dharwad, three Swamijis, three medical practicenors, two businessmen and an advocate laid the foundation of the Gokak Education Society. We all salute them. All those “Navarathans” are no more with us, but they must be feeling satisfied, watching from heaven the exponential growth of the society they founded.
Real education is that which enables one to stand on his own legs. With this mantra the Gokak Education Society established its pioneer institution G.E.S Navachetan School in June 2013. The society now runs eight prestigious institutions with more than three hundred committed employees and over six thousand students quenching their thrust for knowledge. It has completed 50 years in the fulfillment of the vision of providing education to the rural youth and downtrodden people of Gokak Taluka and its surrounding area.
The administrative management of the society is effectively carried out by the Chairman of the Board of Management consisting of nine dedicated directors and a secretary. The functioning of the society is transparent and every aspect is attended with care and love. We will put our sincere efforts to the society to greater heights so that the vision of high quality higher education to rural youths and downtrodden will be sustained.

Board of Trustee

In 1965, it was dream come true for women and downtrodden sections of the society of this area, which were waiting for perusing higher education. During that year Gokak Education Society was established with the efforts from nine philanthropic people consisting of three swamijis’, three medical practioners, two merchants and an advocate. All of them believed that “Service to humanity is the highest form of worship”. Since then there is no looking back, institutions were added one by one to make a total tally of twelve prestigious institutions.  We started our venture of imparting education with our first and pioneer institution J.S.S. Arts and Science College in a rented building. Now we have two campuses of our own, one of 32 acres on the slopes of Mallikarjun hill and other of 9 acres on the slopes of Kadabagatti hill. We believe that “the goal of mankind is knowledge”. In pursuance of the goal the conductive infrastructure for learning coupled with technology up gradation is our top priority
